Have you been bathtized?

March 31, 2008

All three boys were in the tub, and since it was late we were also doing Family Home Evening. Tyler read a story called Baptism Miracles. Despite all of the challenges a mother, father and son made it to their baptism. Jacob said, "So what's the miracle in them making it to their bathtism?"

sometimes pooping can set you behind

March 31, 2008

We were running very late for Karate and I think I was telling Tyler that Micah was hungry and wanted a snack and then he had to go to the bathroom. Micah said something like, "I had to poop, and you know how that is when I have to poop." or maybe it was, "I had to poop, and you know how that goes." Oh boy do we! (Micah takes a really long time)

No one came

March 11, 2008

Last Thursday we went to Micah and Jacob's open house. As we were leaving Jacob got on the stage in the ampitheater and said, "Thank you, thank you, for everybody that came, oh, zero people came, oh well." It was just very cute and funny.

No peace in our house

March 3, 2008

Tonight Micah came in from the front yard very excited about an Olive branch he had found that had fallen off of one of our trees. He said he could use it to make a thing like on the back of a quarter, an eagle holding an olive branch. Jacob grabbed it out of his hand and said something about getting it out of the house because we were allergic to it. Micah got very angry and said that he wasn't allergic to olive trees. I said, "Well, I am, but that's beside the point, no tree stuff in the house, take it outside." He yelled, "FINE!" and slammed the door behind him. When he came back in he was crying and very upset. He said, in his sarcastic tone, "Oh this is just great, so you're allergic to the sign of peace. We can have no peace in our house."

Church shoes

March 3, 2008

Last Thursday night Tyler and I were going to the stake center to have out temple recommends signed. We told the boys to get their shoes on. They had just had a bath and were wearing their pajamas. We told them that we were going to the church. Ben came out of his room wearing one of his church shoes and said, "Daddy, are these my church shoes?"
