Rise and shine

January 27, 2008

Ben came in our room this morning and asked where Peyton was. I told him she was asleep on our bed and he climbed right up next to her. He told me that he wanted to hold Peyton and I said that he could once she woke up. He got right next to her and said, "Rise and shine Peyton!"

Wow! Better than Christmas huh?

January 23, 2008

Micah held Peyton a few minutes ago and I had to take her to feed her and as I was walking away Micah said, "I love Peyton more than Christmas!"

Later this evening Jacob told me that Peyton was better than Christmas. I'd have to agree with them both!

"Wister"

January 20, 2008

My last night in the hospital Tyler stayed at Nana Byn's and Papa Ron's with the boys. The next morning, Monday, at breakfast, Jacob said that he was going to marry Peyton. That got a lot of laughs from eberyone there, but Micah said, "You can't marry her! She's your sister!" If you married her she'd be your wister." (you know, like wife and sister mixed)

Is my what hurting?!

January 14, 2008

This happened just 4 days before Miss Peyton was born.

Earlier tonight Benjamin asked me what was wrong. I told him that I was having some pain in my belly. He said, "Is your Peyton hurting?"

"Don't Walk"

January 13, 2008

A few days ago Ben and I were in the van making a U turn and Ben noticed the "Don't Walk" sign. You know, a little stick figure like man turned sideways walking? Anyway, he really started to laugh and said, "Mommy, that man have no hands!" (mind you he was 2 at this time) I said, "That man has no hands?" He replied, "Yeah, and that man has no hair!" Next time you are out and about, take a look, he's right.

Soon after this, I was at home helping get the playroom cleaned up. Jacob was watching Micah play a video game. I got in his way while putting something away and he said, "Mommy, your big fat bum is in the way!" Yikes, they sure tell it like it is.

My little helper, Jacob

January 6, 2008

I wasn't feeling well and was laying down. Ben was still in the tub and was ready to get out. I asked Jacob if he could get Ben his towel. He left my room to help Ben and awhile later I was calling for Ben to bring me a diaper because I didn't want him to "potty" anywhere. Well, Jacob said that Ben was almost ready. He had gotten Ben out of the tub, had him drain the water, dried him off, diapered him and gotten him completely dressed for church! Socks, shoes, tie, undershirt, the whole works, and he looked great. Jacob said that he liked doing it, it was fun!
